Dr George Parker – M.B.B.S, FRACS

Dr Parker completed his medical degree at The University of Tasmania in 1992. He trained in orthopaedic surgery on the Sydney (North side) Training program. Completing his orthopaedic training in 2003.

In 2004 Dr Parker moved with his family to the Sunshine Coast to take up a position as a staff surgeon at The Nambour General Hospital. He held this position until 2012. For four years of this time he was Director of the Orthopaedic Department.

In 2008 Dr Parker commenced private orthopaedic practice at The Nambour Selangor Hospital.

In 2012 he commenced full time private orthopaedic practice, setting up the Sunshine Coast Knee and Hip Clinic at The Sunshine Coast Hospital.


Practice Philosophy

The Sunshine Coast Knee and Hip Clinic aims for excellence in the management of knee and hip complaints.

The Sunshine Coast Knee and Hip Clinic aims to provide services to patients in a timely manner knowing that early treatment improves outcomes, especially with sporting injuries. Timely treatment also lessens patient anxiety.

The Sunshine Coast Knee and Hip Clinic works closely with the patients own family doctor and other allied health professionals, especially physiotherapists.

The Sunshine Coast Knee and Hip Clinic provides care until your problem has stabilised. Patients are encouraged to return for treatment as often as is necessary after surgery.
